Associate Professor Chen Meng and Professor Wang Jilong Published a Paper in a Top International Journal of Communication Studies

Recently, Associate Professor Chen Meng and Professor Wang Jilong from the School of Media and Communication at Shanghai Jiao Tong University have published an academic paper titled "Identifying the Active Ingredients of Climate Change Narratives: A Model of Temporal Perspective, Narrator Perspective, and Psychological Distance" in the internationally prestigious journal of communication studies, Science Communication. This research demonstrates the academic prowess of the School of Media and Communication in the field of science communication and has made significant contributions to the school's academic force and enhancement of its international influence in this area.

Journal Introduction

Founded in 1979, Science Communication boasts a journal impact factor of 6.9, positioning it as an international academic journal dedicated to high-quality theoretical and methodological research in the field of science communication. Publishing approximately 30 carefully selected research articles annually, this journal is widely recognized as one of the authoritative academic publications in communication studies, thanks to its profound insights into and academic contributions to the communication discipline.

Chen Meng is a Tenure-Track Associate Professor and Graduate Supervisor in the School of Media and Communication, as well as the Assistant Dean. Her research interests lie in the communication of scientific risks and information strategies in the context of new media.

Wang Jilong is a Researcher at the School of Media and Communication, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Ph.D. Supervisor, and the Director of the Center for Environmental Journalism Research. His research focuses on environmental communication and new media studies.
