Biography

Dr. Huilin Hu is a second-grade Professor, Dongsen Distinguished Professor, and PhD supervisor at SJTU. He is a member of SJTU Academic Council and an expert receiving the Special Government Allowances of the State Council. He serves as an expert panel member for drafting the outline of overall cultural system reform program and cultural development plan for the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee. He also serves as an Office Director of the National Cultural Industry Innovation and Development Academe, the person in charge of the Cross-Taiwan Straits Culture Research Base of the Ministry of Culture, and an expert of the Central Cultural Enterprises and State-owned Assets Committee of the Ministry of Finance.

 

In academic activities, he serves as the Chief Editor of Commentary on Cultural Industry in China (indexed by CSSCI). He has hosted nine major national and ministerial philosophy and social science research projects. He has published more than 60 academic articles, and many of them have been reprinted by Xinhua Digest. He has published more than 10 books, such as National Cultural Security, National Cultural Governance: Theory on Cultural Industry Development Strategy in China, Cultural Economics, Cultural Policy, Theory of Cultural Industry, China Cultural Industry Development Indices, and Essays on Cultural Industry by Hu Huilin.
