Jilong Wang is a PhD Supervisor and Professor of Journalism and Communication at School of Journalism and Communication, and director of Research Center for Environmental Journalism, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his Ph.D. in Mass Media from Sichuan University. He was a visiting scholar in Taiwan and the United States, including College of Communication at National Chengchi University(Taiwan), College of Journalism and Communications at Shih Hsin University (Taiwan), the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism at Michigan State University (U.S.), and the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University (U.S.). In 2008, he was awarded the Leadership Scholarship Program Awards from the Committee of 100 USA. In 2010, he was nominated as a finalist for National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award by the Committee of Academic Degrees of the State Council and the Education Ministry of China. His primary research interests are environmental communication and health communication.
