To promote cultural exchanges between China and other countries, help international students in China gain a deeper understanding of China's national conditions, cultural traditions, and contemporary social life—particularly its achievements in ecological civilization—and enhance their ability to use new media for cross-cultural communication, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has successfully held three editions of the "China Through My Eyes" short video contest, which received enthusiastic responses from international students nationwide and positive social feedback.

The fourth edition of the contest is now officially launched. This year's event has been included in the China Scholarship Council's 2025 "Experience China" brand activities. It is organized by the China Scholarship Council and hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with strong support from authoritative media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai United Media Group, Shanghai Media Group, Tencent News, and Eastday.

This year's contest encourages international students to document their firsthand experiences of studying and living in China, showcasing the country's natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and social development achievements through their lenses, thereby presenting a truthful, multidimensional, and comprehensive image of China to the world. At the same time, it advocates the concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, contributing youth wisdom to global ecological civilization efforts. The contest aims to enhance international students' cross-cultural communication skills and foster mutual learning and exchange between Chinese and foreign youth.
